Abstract

This work on critical infrastructure elements and particularly on possibilities of identification of these elements. The main goal is to compare some selected analytical tools and then use the most suitable one for identification of these elements. The work is divided into nine chapters and includes also supplements, which are separated from the other parts. Introduction of the work includes novels of crisis act, which indicates basic concepts of the critical infrastructure and which also indicates some other obligations which subject of critical infrastructure has. Next part of the dissertation describes critical infrastructure in Federal Republic of Germany and in Austria. There is also a description of selected analytical tools and particularly of HVE analysis and AKIS method. AKIS method was developed in order to identify critical processes in critical infrastructure and their dependence on information technology. One part of the dissertation describes alternative ways of identification of critical infrastructure elements. Critical infrastructure identify these ways on the basis of the impact caused by failure or disruption of functionality.
