Abstract

The objective of this bachelor’s thesis is to consider and describe the problem of music piracy. The first part provides the information about the basic principles of copyright in Czech legislation and its legal protection. The second part deals with term of music piracy, its historical development and economical impact. This part also describes means of internet distribution of illegal music and level of usage in Czech Republic. The last part of this thesis is concerned with potential solutions of music piracy.
