Abstract

The context of this thesis is focused on simulation and design of active frequency filters with operational amplifier and passive components of RC. The first part of the thesis is addressed to the theoretical analysis of the problem, followed by the possible solutions and evaluations of the given problem. Especially by conducting a voltage transfer function by using Sigorsky method, relative sensitivities of the individual connective parts and their impact on the change of magnitude and frequent phase response. Furthermore, the thesis contains blueprints of low-pass filter connectors from the Sallen-Key and Multiple Feedback topology. From each topology a Butterworth and Chebyshev type approximation has been created. The outcome of this research is the comparison of these topology from the outlook of a manufactured measures of tolerance. I have used the UA741 operational amplifier as the actively used component. The functionality and behavior of the filters has been simulated in every case through the SNAP program. These two attributes have also been verified by the measurements at the frequency level from 10hz to 50 kHz.
