Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the construction of a traffic light controlled intersection and the development of a traffic solution in the town of Odry. The introductory part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the site and the traffic situation in the city. The theoretical part is focused on the description of the steps to establish the traffic ligh and the tools leading to the design of a signal plan for a signal-controlled intersection. The following section contains the traffic solution in the form of fixed and dynamic control, which is considered in the next part of the thesis in terms of capacity. The aim of the thesis is to produce a traffic study for a signal controlled intersection and to verify the suitability of the design.
