Two alternatives are designed: the establishment of embankment with vertical drains and consolidation´s drains and second drainage properties use gravel-sand piles. The aim was to find a solution that would contribute to reducing the vertical displacement, shortening the time of consolidation, to increase the resistance of the base layer and increase the stability of the embankment.
