Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the economic evaluation of replacing the existing heat source in a residential house with an alternative source of heat. The theoretical part of the thesis first explains the basic concepts related to the issues in this area. It deals with different types of alternative heat sources and their methods of use. It also mentions the reasons and economic considerations leading to a more specific consideration of replacing an existing heat source with an alternative source of heat. The practical part is devoted to an economic evaluation, which includes energy prices, investment expenses, and payback time.
