Finanční analýza společnosti Severočeské doly, a.s.

Abstract

This thesis focuses on financial analysis of the company Severočeské doly, a.s. whose main activity lies in open-cast brown coal mining. The second chapter includes a characterization of the company, the third chapter explains theoretical definition of the financial analysis. The fourth chapter analyses economic results which also concern relational indices analysis, differential and flow indices analysis, cash flow analysis, state indices analysis and the indices system analysis. Based on the analysis of these indices, a general overview of the financial health of the company should be created and possible drawbacks revealed. It is also suggested how to reduce or eliminate these drawbacks and which standpoint to take in case future risks connected with the company operation occur.
