Abstract
The theme of this bachelor work are NoSQL databases and their use in Web applications. The work contains description of the principle of NoSQL in document oriented databases, basic distribution of databases and a brief comparison of CouchDB and MongoDB. Furthermore, there is an explanation of installation of CouchDB, how is possible import data from the relational database to CouchDB, and an overall assessment of the pros and cons of this solutions.
