Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the maintenance management, new trends and methods in this field. It deals with the integration of the new trends and methods in the company’s maintenance management system. Particular systems of maintenance management are described in the first part according to their historic development. In the following part the evaluation of the maintenance management level is described. The ways of incorporation of new trends in the control system are stated. Practical part describes the system of maintenance management according to its real condition and principles of TPM (TPM- Total Productive Maintenance) in the Kovona system a.s. and suggests incorporation of FMEA method into the maintenance management. Suitable introduction of the method will extend contemporary system of the maintenance management, will help to minimize failure and reduce downtime caused by failure. The results will influence the economy and working order of machines.
