Abstract

Bachelor thesis is focused on mapping the current situation in the field of recycling of LCD flat screens within the European Union and the Czech Republic, to submit a comprehensive overview of existing technologies and possible development trends, using available technology, BAT. The first part is devoted to the current state of processing waste electrical and electronic equipment from the legislative and statistical terms and the results of the survey of existing established procedures and methods within the European Union. The last part of this work is geared towards research and development of new technologies, materials and hazardous substances contained in the screens, and the potential of their recyclability, both in terms of protection of human health and the environment, as well as in economic terms.
