Determinanty nesouladu mezi vzděláním a zaměstnáním

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vzdělanostního nesouladu na trhu práce, konkrétně situacemi, kdy dosažené vzdělání pracovníků neodpovídá požadavkům jejich zaměstnání. Tento fenomén prokazatelně vede k neefektivní alokaci lidského kapitálu, ztrátě společenské návratnosti investic a mzdovým penalizacím. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikovat a zhodnotit klíčové determinanty nesouladu mezi vzděláním a zaměstnáním ve vybraných evropských zemích a analyzovat, jak ovlivňují pravděpodobnost převzdělanosti či podvzdělanosti jedince. Teoretická část vymezuje typologii vertikálního a horizontálního nesouladu a představuje stěžejní teoretické koncepty, jako je teorie lidského kapitálu, model signalizace či model soutěže o pracovní místa. Dále shrnuje dosavadní empirické poznatky o vlivu sociodemografických faktorů, charakteristik studia a ostatních faktorů. V praktické části je vzdělanostní nesoulad zkoumán pomocí tří metod: deskriptivní, korelační a regresní analýzy. Deskriptivní analýza charakterizuje vzdělanostní nesoulad podle pohlaví, věkových kategorií, odvětví, zemí a typu organizace. Pomocí korelační analýzy je následně zkoumán mezinárodní vztah mezi mírou nezaměstnanosti a podílem převzdělanosti, respektive podvzdělanosti. Regresní analýza pak zkoumá významnost klíčových determinantů z pohledu podvzdělanosti a převzdělanosti.

This master's thesis addresses the issue of educational mismatch in the labor market, specifically situations where workers' educational attainment does not match the requirements of their employment. This phenomenon demonstrably leads to the inefficient allocation of human capital, a loss of social return on investment, and wage penalties. The main objective of this thesis is to identify and evaluate the key determinants of educational mismatch in selected European countries and to analyze how they affect the probability of an individual being overeducated or undereducated. The theoretical part defines the typology of vertical and horizontal mismatch and presents fundamental theoretical concepts, such as human capital theory, the signaling model, and the job competition model. Furthermore, it summarizes existing empirical findings regarding the influence of socio-demographic factors, study characteristics, and other variables. In the practical part, educational mismatch is investigated using three methods: descriptive, correlation, and regression analysis. The descriptive analysis characterizes educational mismatch by gender, age group, economic sector, country, and type of organization. Subsequently, correlation analysis is applied to examine the international relationship between the unemployment rate and the proportion of overeducation and undereducation. Finally, the regression analysis examines the significance of key determinants from the perspective of both undereducation and overeducation.
