Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on a design of a cleaner production project in an educational institution providing pre-school education of children ages 3 to 6 years old. The goal of this thesis is a description of the application of cleaner production at practice, design of the project and evaluation of cleaner production potential of a nursery school for improvement in the consumption of natural resources and waste. The theoretical part describes the preventive approach to environmental protection, characteristic of cleaner production strategy and its methodology. It also explains the significance of environmental education and possibilities of prevention strategies in schools. The practical part is focused on design of cleaner production project for nursery school Tovacov and assessment of the potential for improvement in the area of environmental protection.
