Automobilový průmysl v Evropské unii se zaměřením na Slovensko

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the automotive industry in the European Union and Slovakia. The aim of the work, based on an analysis of the automotive industry in Slovakia, is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the dominance of the automotive industry in the country and to predict future developments, among other things, in the context of the transition to electric mobility. The theoretical part first describes the development of the automotive industry, its effects on the economy and its importance in the European Union, but also mentions the objectives of the European Union's industrial policy, the European Union's automotive strategy along with the EURO emissions standards and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the sector. In the practical part, the position of the automotive industry in Slovakia is analysed with SWOT and PEST analyses and the future development of the automotive industry is also predicted here.
