Abstract

This study focuses on non-hazardous and hazardous waste produced during the reconstruction of traction substation in Dopravní podnik Ostrava a.s. Dopravní podnik Ostrava a. s. is a transport operator in Ostrava city and the nearby surroundings. Traction substation is a traction wier, unloading for delivery of current of traction directions, railway facilities, i.e., trams and trolleybuses. Tractions substations were built during 1960s and 1970s and recently they are in bad technical state. The waste produced due to the reconstruction of traction substation originates both from technology and from construction works. In this thesis waste class, waste quantity, and waste disposal related to the reconstruction of traction substation is presented.
