Charakterizace materiálů pro skladování vodíku s využitím metod termické analýzy

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with thermal analysis of LaNi and LaNiSn alloys with the aim of assessing their phase behavior and thermal stability under various experimental conditions. Using differential thermal analysis (DTA), experimentally prepared alloys based on LaNi and LaNiSn and the reference commercial alloy LaNi5 (by Merck) were investigated in an inert atmosphere (argon 6 N) and a selected LaNi alloy also in an oxide atmosphere (static air). These analyses were supplemented with analyses of the phase composition of the alloys (XRD method) and chemical composition (SEM and AES ICP methods). The results show repeated changes in characteristic temperatures during thermal cycles in LaNi alloys, probably due to incongruent melting, phase transformations, oxygen dissolution or oxidation. In the ternary alloy LaNiSn, more complex behavior was detected with difficult interpretation of the onset of melting.
