Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) of available web map services – Bing maps, Google maps, and MAPY. The appropriateness of using these APIs to visualize the consequences of emergencies is assessed here. At the beginning, the introduction of the individual APIs was done. Following, how to create some chosen graphical primitives (point, line, polygon) using the APIs was described. Then, the training scenario for the leakage of ammonia from the tank in a car accident using the data from ALOHA software was visualized. Finally, each API was critically evaluated and the recommendation for incidents visualization on information servers was made.
