Abstract

The subject matter of the thesis is the Charge Consumption Forecast in Operation Producing Heavy Plate Cut Shapes that was made for the cost centre Výpalky of EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. and the cost centre Výpalky. It further deals with the methods of time series forecasting as well as Box-Jenkins methodology, which is used for individual charge consumption forecasts. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the petting of the time series, the building of the Box-Jenkins model, and the forecasting of the charge consumption for individual time series. The conclusion of the practical part discusses potential problems that might influence the charge consumption and proposes the forecasting techniques that would be more suitable and accurate for such forecasting. The thesis is completed draft of a comprehensive system of prediction charge consumption in the cost centre Výpalky.
