Návrh geoturistické exkurze po Galapágách a Jávě

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to elaborate a proposal of an excursion to the Galápagos Islands and Java. The bachelor’s thesis is a six-day guide to these two important world destinations. Seven locations will be visited during this excursion, namely Los Gemelos, El Chato Reserve, Las Grietas, Sierra Negra Volcano, Puerto Villamil, Sullivan Bay and Pinnacle Rock. The Sierra Negra volcano ascent and the Sullivan Bay with its lava fields are the most important locations geologically. The second part of the bachelor’s thesis deals with Java, where five locations will be visited as part of this geological excursion. Namely the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan, Yogyakarta, the Merapi volcano and Jakarta. Both Borobudur and Prambanan are built with andesite blocks originating from the volcanos of Java. Borobudur is the largest Buddhist monument in the world. In contrast, Prambanan is the largest Hinduistic monument of Indonesia. The purpose of the thesis was to process these destinations for needs of travel agencies.
