Finanční arbitr České republiky a jeho role při ochraně spotřebitele

Abstract

Předmětem bakalářské práce „Finanční arbitr České republiky a jeho role při ochraně spotřebitele“ je charakteristika institutu finančního arbitra. Nejprve je popsána právní úprava v oblasti ochrany spotřebitele na evropské a české úrovni, a tím je finanční arbitr zasazen do širšího kontextu. Dále je popsán vývoj institutu, povinnosti arbitra a řízení před finančním arbitrem. Na závěr je zhodnocena činnost a nastíněny očekávané změny. Záměrem práce je tedy představit problematiku činnosti a postavení finančního arbitra v českém právním řádu a zhodnotit jeho pozitiva a negativa.

Topic of the thesis „Financial Arbiter of the Czech Republic and his Role in Consumer Protection“ is the characteristic of the Institute of Financial Arbiter. First, the legislation in the field of consumer protection is described at both European and Czech levels thereby the topic is shown in wider context. Then, the creation and development of the Institute, duties of arbiter and proceedings before the Financial Arbiter are also described. Finally the overall activity of the arbiter is assessed and expected changes are outlined. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the issue of activity and position of financial arbiter in the Czech Legislation and evaluate its advantages and disadvantages.
