Abstract
This dissertation is titled
“Research of Technological Parameters Forging and Heat Treatment on the Properties of the Cylinder“. It describes the problem of steel rollers forging and analyzes the current status of the technologies and their impacts on the production reliability while cylinders with higher chrome content forging. The experimental part reveals causes of spontaneous rupture of the supporting rolls which have been produced by the conventional technology. The dissertation analyzes specific phases of the technological process and describes the rolls forging, and heat treatment in details. The analysis of the current state of knowledge about the effects of specific parameters forging and heat treatment on the final properties of the cylinders was the basis of the following research on the appropriate technologies in order to propose optimized technological processes, taking into account new types of steels with higher chromium content. To implement knowledge aimed to forging stage, especially in the axial part forging ingots and then to determine the appropriate method of heat treatment were proved definitely by the research and material expertise of the technological process forging cylinders with higher chromium content. The goals were to reduce internal tension cylinders and to gain the required mechanical properties. The application of forging technology by means of temperature gradient revealed to be a very important and beneficial knowledge with the aim to increase production reliability of forged rolls .
