Abstract
This master thesis covers the topic of material flow optimization of chosen product Rahmen in the company VOP CZ, s.p. It is a manufacture of undercarriage parts for medium-sized construction machines. The optimization proposal uses the methods of lean workplace design-ing, process analysis, value stream mapping, study methods and work measurement, waste elimination and material flow optimization“. It also consists of a teamwork introduction, and methods of compression and tension. The selected proposal managed to reach a significant improvement in use of utilization area by 22,6%, reduction in material flow by almost 86% and in shortening the production lead times by 71%. These remarkable results are the main contributions of this work as they enable an optimization of material flow in VOP CZ, s.p. company, but this particular progress can be simultaneously used as a base for solutions of similar issues among other engineering focused companies.
