Abstract

This Bachelor theses focuses on the production of biogas using the anarobic digestion method, by using an alternative substrate, waste from breeding darkling beetles. This thesis deals with the concept of anaerobic digestion and its products. It investigates the input of raw meterials, specifically biomass and the breeding of insects in the Czech republic and abroad. Furthermore, it explores the topic of biogas, its composition, applications, and, last but not least the purification process. As part of the research carried out in the laboratory of anaerobic digestion of IET VŠB – TUO, an avarage of 0,5596 mN3 kgVS-1 of biogas and 0,3197 mN3 kgVS-1 of methane was produced from the given substrates in each of the experiments.
