Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of lean manufacturing and it’s application in a specific company. The theoretical part od the thesis deals with the history, origin, and definition of lean manufacturing. Subsequently, the individual principles and tools of lean manufacturing are described in detail. The toeretical part also includes a description of all eight forms of waste. The content of the practical part is a brief description of the company and a description of the problem that will be addressed in the thesis. This is followed by an analysis of the situation hefore the implementation of the central extraction system and a detailed analysis od the number and time demands of individual operations that are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the production process. Subsequently, the situation after the installation of the central extraction system is analyzed, and a time analysis of the changes in individual intervals is also performed. The practical part concludes with the design of workplaces for the newly purchased machines. The workpalce are designed for all types of situations that may occur in production.
