Abstract

Diploma thesis deals with the use of mercury and its compounds in various fields of activity and the possibility of substitution in implemented applications. Attention is paid to the properties and effects of mercury and its compounds on health. There is a summary of selected legislation related to mercury and its compounds and regulation of chemicals and chemical products. The final part focuses on safety and organization of work with mercury and its compounds. Provided concrete recommendations for personal protection of the whole body for work with mercury and its compounds.
