Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on evaluating the municipal spending on sports support in the municipality of Návsí between 2020 and 2024 and on mapping residents’ perceptions of this issue. The main objective was to analyze the dynamics of public expenditures on sports and to determine how the local sports opportunities are perceived by the population. The thesis combines quantitative analysis of budget data with the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among local residents. The findings show that Návsí has been continuously increasing its investment in sports infrastructure and support for sports organizations. The survey revealed that citizens generally perceive the availability of sports facilities positively, although some groups, such as seniors or residents of peripheral areas, pointed out certain limitations. Based on the results, several recommendations were proposed to enhance the effectiveness of local sports support.
