Abstract

Czech – Polish Cross-Border Cooperation The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe and evaluate the functionality of the cross-border cooperation in the European Union based on the case study of Euroregion Teschen Silesia and projects which are realized within its borders. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first aims to introduce the whole concept of cross-border cooperation including all areas which fall under its influence. It also describes euroregions as a vital instrument of this enterprise. In the second part The Czech – Polish Cross-Border Cooperation is described including its historical background and focuses mainly on Euroregion Teschen Silesia. The last part analyses and evaluates the impacts and benefits of a particular project titled Revitalpark 2010 which is being executed within the area of the euroregion.
