Abstract

This thesis deals with electric traction and things associated with it. First, here describes the distribution of traction by voltage levels and use of the vehicles (ČD, MHD), discusses the issue of traction power stations and lines, the issue of power for 3 kV DC and 25 kV AC. Finally, here dealt with the issue of adverse effects of electric traction, the effects of stray currents, asymmetry and options to limit these adverse effects.
