Abstract

The aim of the dissertation compare the attributes of balconies and loggias. The thesis describes the historical progress of balconies and loggias, including their use. The thesis deals with balconies and loggias properties due to the fire safety of the building. Part of the thesis is description of faults that may occur within the balcony and loggias structures including their elimination. The final part describes the current methods of the structures construction and constructon methods that can be expected in the near future. Thesis should determine whether the legal regulations for the safety of banister used in the Czech Republic are on the same level as similar legislation in the western European countries such as Schwitzerland and France.
