Abstract

The Thesis is focused on evaluation of the competitiveness of the engineering company using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The first section presents the theoretical basis for the application part, containing basic concepts related to competition and competitiveness of the company, including approaches to performance measurement. Further it clarifies BSC method. The second application part is compiled on the conclusion of the theoretical part. Description of the engineering company which competitiveness is determined by using the BSC. To define strategy of the company was created strategic analysis of external and internal environment of the company. There are also analyzed the different BSC perspectives - financial, customer, process and employee. The last section is a summary of the strategic objectives and company competitiveness and subsequently recommended target values, which the company should achieve. The result is a proposal to improve the competitiveness of the company for a better future.
