Abstract

This thesis addresses the issue of very large risks relating to underground spaces. At the beginning of the work gives the risks related to the developmental stages of different types of underground structures. The next section is developed classification of underground structures in relation to their potential threat to a given risk. The work also includes analysis of sources of risk in a particular underground object (tunnel Lochkov). The following chapter describes the monitoring and inspection of underground spaces. Both of these methods in practice lead to minimize the possibility of settling or avoiding the risks involved. Monitoring and regular inspections of the underground facility as well their buffer zones are important to secure the existence and operation of underground spaces. In conclusion of the inaccuracies are outlined in the legislation dealing with the safety of underground spaces and the surrounding buildings.
