Abstract

At present, the amount of municipal waste from municipalities ends up in waste containers, even though it would be possible to sort most of them. The diploma thesis denotes to intelligent waste management system. It deals with the possibilities of reducing the production of municipal waste. Describes and characterizes waste management in the municipality, methods of municipal waste management and the system of gathering and sorting of municipal waste in the municipality. The aim of this work is to outline the model conditions necessary for the introduction of intelligent waste management system in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants.
