Abstract

WORBIS, Filip. Police station building. Ostrava, 2025. Diploma Thesis. VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Building Structures. Thesis Supervisor: Ing. Kateřina Kubenková, Ph.D. The subject of the diploma thesis is the elaboration of project documentation for the construction of a new police station building in Velké Meziříčí. It is a detached three-storey civic amenity building serving as administrative and operational facilities for the Police of the Czech Republic. The structure is designed as a reinforced concrete monolithic skeleton with brick infill masonry, founded on a foundation grid. The roofing consists of a flat single-skin roof with vegetation layers and a walkable terrace. The façade is insulated with a contact system and complemented by a vertical green wall. Heating and cooling are provided by a warm-air system using an air-to-water heat pump and air handling units with heat recovery. The thesis also includes the structural calculation of a selected element, thermal technical assessment, energy label of the building envelope, and energy performance certificate.
