Abstract

Title: Application of technical analysis on investor decision-making on the Czech capital market

The main objective of diploma thesis is to verify the possibility of technical analysis application, using the technical indicators, on investor decision making on the Czech capital market.

In the theoretical part are described the characteristics and application methods of technical analysis. Moreover the graphic methods and technical indicators are interpreted and mathematically formulated.

In practical part are characterized the past trends. Subsequently the technical indicators are tested to find the optimal parameters considering the maximisation of profit.

Finally the application of technical analysis, using the technical indicators, is verified and the investment recommendation is proposed considering the optimal parameters.
