Ochrana obyvatelstva pod vodním dílem Žermanice

Abstract

This thesis deals with the protection of the population in a particular territory downstream of Žermanice hydraulic structure. The first part is dedicated to the flood control and the classification of the dams between the elements of the critical infrastructure in the Czech Republic and foreign countries. Provides a breakdown of water and dams, their types, classifications, and safety supervision. The following are mentioned possible causes of failure of hydraulic structures associated with them and examples of special flood disasters in history. The thesis contains information about water work Žermanice, its history, and other characteristics. It assessed the current state of protection under the water works and the expected conduct of special flood. The last part contains risk analysis and the resulting proposed measures for effective protection of the population living below the water work.
