Konverze zámeckého areálu Bravantice

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the conversion of the chateau complex in Bravantice near Nový Jičín. The complex consists of the Old Chateau, the New Chateau, and former agricultural buildings that are no longer in use and are currently deteriorating. The main idea behind the conversion of the chateau area is to create a new village center for the citizens of Bravantice, restore the historic chateau park, and develop a residential area with municipal housing. The project proposes the transformation of the chateaux into a municipal office with additional public amenities such as a doctor’s office, post office, library and exhibition space, as well as a café. It also includes the conversion of part of the complex into a chateau hotel, the revival of the former brewery, and the addition of a village pub. Integrating these appropriate functions will support the growth of the village and enhance its cultural significance in the region. The design takes into account the protected historical buildings and parts of the site, and the character of these heritage elements will be respected in the design of any new structures.
