Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the generation, sorting and use of wood waste generated in the production of furniture, boards and other wood products. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current methods of wood waste management in the Czech Republic, assess their environmental impacts and propose options for the effective use of this material in accordance with the principles of the circular economy. The thesis focuses on the distinction between clean and contaminated wood waste, their potential for energy recovery, production of composite materials and recycling. It includes an overview of legislative requirements, technological procedures and examples of good practice from the Czech industry. The result is a proposal for an optimized wood waste processing system with an emphasis on economic and environmental sustainability.
