Abstract

This thesis describes the selected metalliferous wastes from the metallurgical industry, their properties, occurrence and recycling. It deals with some heavy metals and their negative effect on the environment and humans. The experimental part of this work deals with the extraction of copper, lead and zinc from the slag by chemical leaching. The aim of this thesis was to verify the possibility of obtaining these metals using pressure leaching with cheap chemical solvents. For this experiment were used samples of copper slag from Kovohuty Company, Inc (Krompachy).
