Abstract

The aim of graduation thesis was to suggest an action in the area of the monetary and fiscal policy of Poland to enable the acceptance of single currency in future. The thesis is worked up by means of empirical – analytical method and it is divided into three parts. First part is focused on the economic – politic situation of Poland before entering EU. Second part describes the changes of development and nature of monetary and fiscal policy of Poland after entering EU. It reports on economic and social contexts of the integration of Poland and EU. The monetary and fiscal measures in connection with the future acceptance of single European currency are described in the third part. It contains recommendations which should not be accepted only to meet the Maastricht´s criteria but also to keep the stable and prosperous economy.
