Abstract

The thesis consists of theoretical and methodological foundations to focus on ways of managing inventory and stock in a company. Selected theoretical background is also applied to the selected firm. In the last part of the work is focused on new solutions to the current situation and concluded the overall results are evaluated. The thesis aims to analyze stocks using the ABC and XYZ methods and reduction of inventories in selected product groups and thus the associated cost savings, reduction in funds tied up in inventory, saving space and thereby increase the potential of the business unit.
