Aplikace principů SMED na změny formátu tratě středojemné válcovny

Abstract

The aim of the master thesis is to propose measures to reduce the time of rebuilding the first and the second rolling mill in the medium section mill track at ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.. The method SMED is used in the solution which is part of tools of lean manufacturing and it is more specifically described in theoretical part. The performed activities and their duration were specified in detail by applying this method, which led to finding an overall time of rebuilding. Based on this observation measures were developed. These measures led to the shortening and efficient use of time needed to carry out the reconstruction. Economic evaluation of the implementation of the proposed measure is designed according to the investment assessment tool.
