Návrh a otestovanie open-source virtualizačnej platformy s vysokou dostupnosťou

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with a basic description of virtualization and its uses. It also deals with the description of virtualization platforms, offering the possibility of deploying high availability on created virtual systems. At the same time, the work contains a practical description of a server virtualization solution offering high availability using the Proxmox Virtual Environment virtualization environment. The developed solution is subsequently tested in terms of high availability functionality, but also the performance of server devices and deployed virtual systems. High availability is practically deployed in a scenario in which there is a virtual system offering a web server service and a virtual system used as a client that connects to the mentioned web server. In this scenario, the process of failure of the virtual system with the deployed web server, its subsequent reconfiguration and the time of this process are monitored.
