Abstract

Purpose of the research presented in dissertation thesis is to find an appropriate approach to Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for development of an innovative solution for entry and analysis of attributive data which can be used in organisations evaluating the quality of products by comparison of attributive data. For the development of new, custom made combined hardware-software solution – further product, have been used Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodology along with the application of continual principle and house of quality for program management in open innovation team of experts. Scientific contribution of the thesis is original, generalizable process of application of QFD. The practical asset is tested and in practice used product, where data are gathered directly from production areas. The product is fulfilling specific requirements of internal customers (operators, supervisors, process engineers and quality managers) and is connected to the system of quality management (QMS) and existing database within SAP system organisation is running. The developed methodology of Continual Lean Project Management QFD (CL-QFDPM) with dynamic project house of quality is using most recent knowledge from this discipline and allows either further adjustments and improvements of developed product or usage of other methodologies usually used in the development of extensive projects of hardware-software products. Certain limitation of the developed product has needed of training of operators and development team, however later have been seen that significant decrease of nonconformities and transfer of knowledge acquired in project team could be used in future projects of all involved parties. Further development of the hardware-software product is expected in the improvement of information flow for decision-making about the quality of products, while again methodology of CL-QFDPM with dynamic project house of quality can be used.
