Abstract
The aim is to describe the structure of pulse converters suitable for backing up devices sensitive to a power grid failure. The thesis describes their topology, sine wave approximation and especially the possibility of regulation and control using modern microcontrollers. There are various standards that define electrical requirements for such devices as the control and quality of control.The thesis discusses the design of a simple inverter suitable for experimental development of firmware and then describes in more details the possibilities and ways how to implement management, sensing and communication using an 8-bit microcontroller from Atmel.
