Abstract
The aim of dissertation work was verification of possible adjustment of bulk cargo industrial by-products for its utilisation in composite building materials. The biggest producers of bulk cargo industrial by-products are power stations, heat stations and metallurgical companies and therefore were choiced for this purpose samples of high-temperature and fluidized ashes and fly ashes, blast furnace slag and converter mud.
The dissertation work was oriented on optimalization of composited masses composition, which arised by combination of maximal content of these materials with minimal.quantity of classical binder (cement or lime), meeting technological and ecological suitability requirements for cold way of artificial aggregate production.
There was performed analysis of input components in terms of dissertation work, its evaluation and subsequently proposal of components adjustment. The frame constitution of mass for laboratory tests was proposed. The laboratory tests were provided on test specimens – rollers, which were prepared according to proposed content of particular components. The optimal prescriptions was choiced after evaluation of these tests. There were manufactured pellets on pelletizing plate for pilot plant experiments. Except technological suitability tests was performed on choiced pellets also ecological suitability tests. The economical staindpoint was simultaneously taken into account in consideration (simple adjustment and minimal number of components).
On the base of achieved properties is proposed utilization of manufactured artificial aggregate namely to the concrete (artificial aggregate with majority of converter mud), to the lightweight concrete (artificial aggregate with majority of high - thermal fly ash) and to the constructional layers of floors or ceilings, like filling thermal insulating crossbar elements (artificial aggregate with majority of fluidized fly ash).
