Posouzení možností využití studničních vod v obci Služovice

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the assessment of the potential use of well water in the municipality of Služovice. The introductory part briefly describes the geomorphological, geological, hydrogeological, climatic, and hydrological conditions that influence the availability and quality of groundwater in the area. The study characterizes the properties and quality of groundwater, examines the methods of its abstraction (dug and drilled wells), and evaluates the suitability of using well water in comparison to public water supply systems. An important part of the research is the monitoring of selected water quality indicators, and the methodology of monitoring the relevant waters, including sample collection and analysis, is described. The thesis evaluates the results of laboratory tests of collected samples and, based on these results, assesses the suitability of the water for drinking purposes in accordance with applicable standards. As part of the thesis, the water quality in five wells was assessed, with one of them being used as the sole water source for a household. The results indicate that in all cases, the water does not meet the requirements for drinking water quality. Exceedances were observed in parameters such as nitrates, ammonium ions, iron, manganese, and permanganate index (CODMn). The findings of this study provide a valuable basis for optimizing the use of water resources in the municipality and may serve as a foundation for proposing measures to improve groundwater quality.
