Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis examines the risks associated with the breeding of the two-toed ostrich from the perspective of occupational safety and health. The aim of the thesis is to identify and evaluate these risks and to propose appropriate preventive and protective measures to minimize them. The proposals are developed in accordance with current legislation and principles of good practice. The practical part of the thesis focuses on a specific farm engaged in ostrich breeding. It includes an analysis of individual work activities and the associated risks. Based on the risk assessment, measures to improve workplace safety are proposed. The outcome also includes the development of supporting documentation for communicating risks and proposed measures in practice in the form of safety cards.
