Vliv stárnutí oleje na jeho sklon k samovznícení

Abstract

KOPŘIVOVÁ, Radka. The effect of aging oil to its spontaneous combustion propensity. Ostrava, 2016. Diploma thesis. VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering. Supervisor of the diploma thesis Ing. Hana Věžníková, Ph.D. The topic of this diploma thesis is „The effect of aging oil to its spontaneous combustion propensity”. The aim of the thesis is to assess the dependence between aging of selected samples of substances and their propensity to spontaneous combustion. The theoretical part is devoted to the issue of self-ignition. There are included also methodologies that were used to determine the flash point, ignition and propensity to spontaneous combustion of selected substances. Determination of the degree of oxidation using infrared spectroscopy was not done in the thesis and because of that this issue has been dealt with using the same samples of substances in the bachelor thesis [25]. In the experimental part of the thesis are performed determinations for the samples of selected substances, which were stored in laboratory conditions and heated for 14 and 30 days at 60 °C in a thermostat. The reason for heating selected substances was to accelerate their aging process in a short period of time. Increased temperature accelerates the oxidation that is the main cause of aging oil.
