Získávání dodatečných finančních zdrojů pro požární sport

Abstract

The aim of the thesis was to call attention to opportunities of the fire sport financing. To achieve the goal I employed the methods of research investigation. The selected methods of investigation were the questionnaire and the marketing method.

The volunteer fire departments that take part in the fire sport are civic associations. The techniques used for the purposes of investigation were the questionnaire and the interview with the members of individual fire departments in the Šumperk region. I have prepared a SWOT analysis and the annual report of incomes and expenses of 2011 for one of the departments. The analysis was based on their activity and the use of financial resources. A quantification of financial demands of the fire sport was also a part of the study.

The results of my investigations lead to a conclusion that the most frequent resources for the fire sport financing are the profit-making activity of the department, sponsoring, and subsidies. Further income increase could be achieved through the profit-making activity of the departments, as well as through utilization of state subsidies, which are not fully exploited due to complicated processing.
