Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on management of residential buildings. I deal mostly with the present situation of residential buildings in the Czech Republic and with types of their administration. In the introduction, I focus on a description of what building management means, its history and definitions of management and operation of the housing sector. Next I focus on the management according to the type of ownership, various types of property by the new and the old civil code and difficulties in managing these types of residential buildings.Then I focus onthe current state of residential buildings and ways of their recovery.

In the practical part, I apply my knowledge from the theoretical part to a particular residential building. I chose a house in the Hornická street 21 in Hlučín. I deal with its operational and technical conditions and ways of managing this object.At the end, I propose some possible changes of the current state. Those are in particular changes in provided services, changes in the presentkind of its administration and maintaining documentation for managing the residential building.
