Abstract

This graduation thesis deals with problems of filtering devices used for the protection of firemen’s airways and people who are being rescued. This thesis is divided into 5 chapters. The division of breathing devices used by the fire department HZS CR and its brief description is mentioned in the first chapter. The second chapter concerns basics of physiology of person’s breathing. The third chapter talks about statistics of using of particular devices and results of questionnaire research in this area. The forth chapter concerns the safety conditions of putting filtering devices on and the fifth chapter compares particular types of devices and suggests the most suitable devices for a global coverage. The summary of observation and results and the indication of further options of a development are mentioned in the end of this thesis.
